DSCC Sixteen Candles is a young cow that looks just like her mom. Her sire is JR Matrix (KC Just Respect x JR Missy) who comes from the famous Hunts Command Respect line with a 5x dose of Gunman on the bottom side. Her dam is Birthday Surprise 74″ tip to tip (Whelming King x FA Birthday Girl) and comes from a long line of over 70″ tip to tip cows from old school genetics. Sixteen Candles is projecting to be 72.83 inches tip to tip at maturity, but will probably be much more than that with her late horn genetics. She delivered her first calf, a nice Pearl Jam (Silver Bullet x RR Ranch Chick) heifer on November 8th, 2014 that we sold to Kent Bladen. That heifer calf was my best 2014 heifer. For her second calf, she gave us a beautiful black and white Over Kill heifer on November 11, 2016, who I sold to Mark Hubbell. The next year she gave us a beautiful 20 Gauge heifer on 11/2/2016. Talk about a producer! That’s 3 heifer calves in a row! Sixteen Candles gave us a beautiful Saddlehorn bull calf on April 14, 2018. He has amazing coloring and has herd sire written all over him. We will be watching him closely!
